Lavinia Greenlaw’s docu-drama tells the story of humanity’s tangled relationship and co-evolution with the malaria parasite. The five episodes each deal with a different aspect of the story – from the mechanism of the parasite’s life-cycle, to its first discovery by medical science and the ongoing battle to control a disease that’s profoundly influenced human history.
