Radio 4 Extra adapted Ursula Le Guin’s classic ‘Earthsea‘ series of fantasy novels into a six-part series in 2015. The score included nyckelharpa, qanun, bray harp, bass viol, lyra viol and the extraordinary tromba marina, performed by crack early-music ensemble The Society Of Strange & Ancient Instruments.
